DAYTON
AREA
MINIATURE
MODELING
SOCIETY |
 |
|
The Dayton Area Miniature Modeling Society is a
congenial group of folks interested in building, sculpting, painting, and
learning about miniature figures. Members range from beginners to
Gold Medal winners. Interests go from anime to Indians, ancients to
space troopers. Whether you want to learn to paint, sculpt, or just
better ways to assemble a kit, you're sure to find something of interest
and lots of folks ready to help. Meetings are held monthly on the
last Tuesday evening.
We meet at The
Trolley Stop, 530 E. Fifth St.
Go through the bar and the back courtyard, the meeting is held in the
house at the rear. (Check the Calendar for
latest information) Meetings start around 7 PM with general visiting
and show and tell. The 'formal' part of the evening is usually made
up of two presentations by club members. One is a history topic, the
other is a technique topic. The history topics are very wide ranging
since the member's interests are very wide ranging. The modeling and
art techniques are always helpful whether you are a beginner or expert.
Take a look at the calendar to see the latest
list of speakers and topics. Dues are currently $15/yr and
include a subscription to the Kukris as well as at least one pizza
party/movie day. Hope to see you at a meeting! |
